KNOREX KAI Assist launched inside the company’s XPO advertising platform on September 1, 2026, replacing dashboard navigation with plain-text commands for building and optimizing cross-channel ad campaigns.

The announcement went out through Business Wire on September 1, syndicated by MarTech Series and StockTitan. I checked it against KNOREX’s own November 2024 post first, because “launch” language deserves a second look when a company already used the same product name two years ago.

By the end of this guide, you will understand:

  • What KAI Assist actually does inside XPO
  • Why this isn’t KAI Assist’s first launch since 2024
  • What the XPO MCP Server adds in October
  • Who KNOREX actually is
  • Where this fits next to Google and Microsoft

Last updated: September 8, 2026 by Afraz Alam, Founder, Techfee. Written after reading KNOREX’s own September 1 press release in full and comparing it directly against the company’s November 2024 post, rather than taking the “launch” framing at face value.

What KNOREX KAI Assist Actually Does

KAI Assist is a conversational interface built directly into KNOREX XPO, the company’s cross-channel programmatic advertising execution platform. Marketers type plain-text instructions instead of clicking through dashboard menus, and KAI Assist builds campaigns, adjusts targeting parameters, and refines audience segments from those commands.

The release covers three jobs: campaign creation, audience targeting, and real-time optimization, a meaningfully wider scope than KNOREX’s original 2024 version, more on that below. KNOREX’s VP of Product and Engineering, Abhishek Kumar, put it plainly: “AI is truly the new UI.” No pricing was disclosed.

This Isn’t KAI Assist’s First Launch

Here’s the part most coverage skipped. KNOREX didn’t invent the KAI Assist name in September 2026, it reused it. A company blog post from November 26, 2024 already described “KAI Assist” as a beta bot that walked marketers through a guided Q&A and generated downloadable Excel media plans for programmatic display and native advertising. That post promised an upgraded version “set to launch in 2025.”

2025 came and went without it shipping publicly. What arrived instead, a year and a half late, does considerably more: instead of a plan you download and act on manually, it runs the actual campaign build, targeting, and optimization through natural language. Real progress, worth saying plainly instead of pretending September 2026 is when KNOREX first thought of this.

The XPO MCP Server, Coming in October

Alongside KAI Assist, KNOREX announced the XPO MCP Server, using the Model Context Protocol to connect external AI assistants, specifically Anthropic’s Claude and OpenAI’s models, directly to live XPO campaign data. It’s aimed at enterprise clients and agency partners who want to manage campaigns through whichever AI assistant they already use, rather than being locked into KAI Assist’s own chat interface.

It isn’t available yet. KNOREX says it ships in October 2026, a month after KAI Assist’s rollout completes, and the release doesn’t specify read versus write access.

Who KNOREX Actually Is

If the name doesn’t ring a bell, you’re not missing something. KNOREX, Ltd. trades on NYSE American under ticker KNRX and runs XPO, a cross-channel programmatic advertising platform, smaller than Google, Meta, or Microsoft, and doesn’t need to pretend otherwise for this to be real, dated news worth knowing if you touch programmatic buying.

Where This Fits the Bigger Pattern

This isn’t an isolated move. Google’s own AI-powered features shipping into Ads and Analytics point the same direction as Microsoft Advertising’s own AI Max, which reached general availability just five days earlier and which Techfee also covered: dashboards replaced by natural-language commands and AI wired directly into campaign data. KNOREX chasing the same idea confirms this is now a baseline expectation across ad-tech, not a differentiator any one company owns.

The pattern matters more than any single vendor’s version of it. If you manage campaigns across multiple platforms, expect all of them to ship some version of this within the next year.

What to Actually Check Before You Try It

KNOREX hasn’t published pricing, so if you’re already an XPO customer, ask your account rep directly whether it’s included or billed separately. Rollout completes by end of September 2026 for KAI Assist, the MCP Server follows in October. If you manage campaigns through an agency using XPO, ask about this now rather than after it’s already live in your account.

If you’d rather have someone track releases like this and flag the ones that actually matter, here’s how I work with clients.

FAQ

What is KNOREX KAI Assist?

KNOREX KAI Assist is a conversational, natural-language interface built into KNOREX XPO, the company’s cross-channel advertising platform. It lets marketers create campaigns, adjust targeting, and run real-time optimization using plain-text commands instead of dashboard navigation. It launched September 1, 2026.

Is KAI Assist a new product?

Not entirely. KNOREX first described a beta version in a November 2024 blog post, limited to downloadable media plans. The September 2026 release is the promised upgrade, expanded into full campaign creation, targeting, and optimization, arriving about a year and a half after its original 2025 timeline.

What is the KNOREX XPO MCP Server?

A Model Context Protocol integration, arriving October 2026, connecting external AI assistants, specifically Anthropic’s Claude and OpenAI’s models, directly to live XPO campaign data. It’s aimed at enterprise clients and agency partners who want to manage campaigns through an AI assistant they already use.

Is KNOREX KAI Assist free?

KNOREX hasn’t disclosed pricing anywhere in the release. It doesn’t say whether KAI Assist is bundled into existing XPO plans at no extra cost or sold as a separate add-on. If you’re already an XPO customer, the safest move is confirming directly with your account rep before assuming either way.

My Take

My honest first read: natural-language campaign building plus an MCP bridge to Claude and OpenAI is a real, useful direction, and it lines up with what Google and Microsoft are both doing. Worth noting on record: KNOREX let its 2025 promise slip by about eighteen months before shipping it, a fair reason to take any vendor’s roadmap with a grain of salt. I haven’t touched XPO myself, so I can’t say yet whether KAI Assist handles a messy real-world brief the way the release implies, that’s what I’d test first.
